Michael & Melinda Barrett
Michael serves the body of Christ as an apostle and to those related to him as spiritual sons, a spiritual father. In full time ministry for over more than 40 years, Michael has been teaching, preaching and doing church planting since the early 1980's. Along with his wife, Melinda, who has a very fruitful ministry also, Michael re-located to Bossier City, Louisiana in 1991. The planting of City Church began in 1995.
Michael functions apostolically on a relational basis in Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Louisiana and Nicaragua. Most of the work done in those locations is done as an encouragement and as a help to spiritual sons, Michael being a spiritual father to the respective sons in those spheres.
In June of 2012, the City Church work officially transitioned from a local church model to a spiritual household model. The father / son wineskin and the spiritual household template are the guiding principals through which we are building today.
Michael and Melinda married in July of 1987. They have six children and thirteen grandchildren. Melinda shares the responsibility of stewarding the many relationships in the spiritual family that the Lord has gathered together and placed the Barrett's in.

Keith & Kim Denson
Keith and Kim have walked with the leadership of City Church and Michael and Melinda since 2005. They moved to Shreveport to join the ministry team in the middle of 2007. We have known, loved and appreciated Keith and Kim since we first met them. Keith and Kim serve the body of Christ apostolically through mentoring, teaching, organizing / leading worship and a variety of other valuable functions.
In January of 2012, Keith, Kim and Michael moved to Rockwall, Texas. The Lord directed them to relocate and gave them a new assignment in terms of their work. All of the training and waiting Keith and Kim invested their lives in culminated in 2012 when we sent Keith and Kim to the Dallas area. Keith is now functioning as a spiritual father and an apostle to the body of Christ. Of course, Kim is doing the work of fathering, pastoring, encouraging and equipping alongside Keith every day.
The work that the Densons are doing is emerging rapidly. They are recognised in East Texas and Louisiana for their stedfast, integrity filled contribution to the advancement of the kingdom of God over the course of their adult lives. For all of the above stated reasons, I am proud to be considered Keith and Kim's spiritual father and Melinda and I are blessed to co-labor in the work of the Lord with this family.

Other Leaders
There are so many great people working with us in the development of a strong spiritual household. We continuing the practical work of transitioning from local church to spiritual households. In our spiritual house currently there are a number of spiritual fathers and functioning spiritual households. These spiritual households are located within and without our immediate geographical region. These households include groups in East Texas, Central Texas (the Dallas / Fort Worth area), Pennsylvania (Gettysburg and Shade Gap) and Nicaragua. The extended work being done through the households mentioned reaches into many US states, South Africa, Mexico, Central America and many other locations.
We hosted an event (December 2012) we called "The Big Table Gathering." I felt that it was important for our group locally / regionally to have a sense of the "big table" of fellowship that the Lord has entrusted to us. Our work together is having a tremendous impact on thousands of lives and families (multiplied thousands actually). For that I am blessed and want to commend each and every one of those related together in this awesome work.
